I've received my first sponsorship in the Mustaches for Kids Campaign, and it was a very generous donation to the Off the Street Club. While I won't name the donor publicly without permission, I wanted to thank them for their support in a public way. I'll be adding a progress bar later today, and this donation will make a big difference. Tonight is the first checkpoint, so we'll all get to see what a week's worth of mustache looks like on me.
A few things I've learned this week...
- Facial hair is good insulation. My face is cold!
- Most people don't really know what other people look like. I've had at least 3 people, who* I see several times a week, not realize that I had shaved my beard off, and at least two people who "like my haircut". I haven't cut my hair at all.
- Shaving is as big a pain in the butt as I remembered. Chins are shaped funny.
- I need to step up my fundraising
- I'm probably not going to reach my goal of a Jamie Hyneman-esque 'stache.
Would you donate if I set up a paypal link for it on this page?

Yeah- I'd donate to paypal. i'm a lazy bastard.
And yeah- I got complimented on my haircut too last week. it was the first time I'd worn long sleeves in about 6 months.
heh... I hate shaving by myself. Sometimes I just wait for my visit to the barber to pay for the full package. I had a goatee for the past... I don't know... 5 years, and I went ahead and shaved it last week. 1)I hated my look. 2)My chin was so soft and felt so fragile it hurts :D
The good side is, facial hair grows back.
