So, we just spent about $700 on the cats. Iccarus was no big deal, just needed his annual exam and rabies shots. Chubby on the other hand, got a hematoma in his ear which cause it to swell up. The vet thinks this is related to his allergies. So he had surgery today to drain the ear. They also stitched it up so that the layers of skin and cartlidge will bond, which will (hopefully) prevent a repeat. Now he's on 3 different medications (ear drops, antibiotics and pain killers), and our Independence Day travel plans have been shelved. Oh well. Such are the joys of having pets.

Get Well Soon! I'll be out to see you in August.
Nee Nee
Ok, I think reading this blog jinxed me. I saw the pic and went "oh! poor thing, has to wear a cone." Then, I got home and my dog suddenly has this gigantic lump on his leg that has to be removed and he will have to wear a cone and I get to drop $450 bucks or more (depending on how long it takes to remove the lump). And that's just the removal...the $$ amount will also be dependent on what the lump turns out to be. Thanks, thanks a lot! :P
