So, I thought some more today about how I want my photo hack to work, This would be displayed at the top of the content section, before any of the posts and would show up something like this:

Thumbnail B
Thumbnail C Image A
Thumbnail D
Thumbnail E

Each thumbnail and the large image is linked to the original image in my Gallery.

Then, I upload a new Image F (using something like chuckg's WP-Gallery hack)
The script Resizes Image F if it is above set dimensions (400x300?) and creates a thumbnail as well.
Then it updates the page to display:

Thumbnail A
Thumbnail B Image F
Thumbnail C
Thumbnail D

All the better if this also updates my RSS feed as well.

Hmmm... I've got a lot to learn.

I figure once I learn the syntax, the image rearangement shouldn't be that hard something along the lines of:

thm4=thm3
thm3=thm2
thm2=thm1
thm1=(big1-extension)+thumb.+extension
big1=new

The hard part I think would be specifying resizing, but I think that can be done directly in Gallery. So we'll see.

So... I've added a hack that allows me to upload images to my gallery and post them here as well. Couldn't figure out why it didn't work until I looked at the code and realized that the problem was that they had a .jpeg extension rather than a .jpg
Once I figure out how that all works, I'll be able that much closer to my photo hack that I'm hoping for.

While I believe that guilty prisoners should, at the very least, work to pay for thier keep, the idea of charging someone wrongfully imprisoned is a bit on the completely-fucking-ridiculous side. I want to figure out how to add something like this to this page.The big picture would be something I would add, which would then force the current "big" pic to become the top thumbnail, each of the other thumbs to drop down one and the last one to go away. I'd like each of the pics to link to the respective image in my gallery. I'm sure it could be done, I could do it manually without too much effort, but it'd be great if I could make some sort of script to do it for me. Hmmm. Guess I'm going to have to learn some PHP or something.

Hmmm... since I broke the sound on my computer, probably the last song I heard was the background music on "Local on the 8's" on the weather channel. The last actual recorded song I listened to because I chose to listen to it would be U2: Acrobat

Frighteningly... they were both Disney movies (well Pixar really) Finding Nemo and Monsters, Inc. Weird.

3. What were the last three things you purchased?

I bought 3 pairs of eddison connectors for some cable I need to build this morning (does that count as 1, 3, or 6 things) I bought 3 $1 McChickens last night for dinner. Before that, a bag of Skittles from the vending machine at work. If we don't count food, then the last things I bought were a sympathy card and a blanket that folds into a backpack for TBWITWW's birthday.

4. What four things do you need to do this weekend?

Go to work. Clean the apartment, Work on my design, Eat.

Follow up to: Faces In The CrowdMy wife took the Physical Attraction Test last night and it gave her this result as her ideal face:Hmmm... that doesn't look like me. However, the results were very interesting. It's a fun test.
Seeing as I am not a handsome African-American, I guess there must be something else she finds attractive about me. Maybe someday I'll figure out what it is. Until then... I'll just be happy about it.
